WP System. Originaly designed in 1966. This sofa is one of Plunkett's most successful and iconic designs. It forms part of the 'Kingston' flexible seating system designed in 1967. The range featured chairs, sofas and benches created from rows of individually upholstered foam mounted on a sculptural aluminium frame. Plunkett's uncompromising modern designs have left an enduring legacy and inspired a new generation of designers. Plunkett won numerous awards for his unique design style but is less known than his contemporaries as his furniture was produced only in small batches and retailed through exclusive stores such as Heal's and Liberty.
