We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any such changes take effect immediately, therefore it is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions each time you use this website.
We accept payment via PayPal as well as Visa, MasterCard credit / debit cards via this website. We regret we are not able to accept American Express, Solo or Electron debit cards. On placing your order you will receive an automatically generated email which informs you that your order has been accepted by the company’s internal communication system. This is not an order acknowledgement, nor does it constitute acceptance of your order. Once your order has been accepted and delivery time is known, we will email you an order acknowledgement detailing the expected dispatch date. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday from 08.30 to 17.00 hours CET, and as a result, no acknowledgement will be emailed to you beyond the particular time frame. We endeavor to process all orders within 28 days maximum but as an average the orders are dispatched within two weeks of receipt (for orders fully paid).
The delivery cost depends on the destination which must be identified clearly in the order slip. Orders are usually dispatched once a week - every Monday from 12.00 to 15.00 hrs. CET. Regrettably we are not able to offer a Saturday or Sunday delivery service. In case your order includes items of large volume and / or weight, a sales representative will contact you prior to processing your order, so as to provide an exact delivery quotation and clear out all the necessary details.
No goods will be accepted for return without prior authorization, therefore please contact our sales department before returning any goods. Our site is equipped with an automated RMA (Return Material Authorization) form that needs to be filled and sent to us. Returned goods for reasons other than our responsibility, will carry an additional handling / processing charge of 25%. No returned goods will be refunded unless they are found in perfect condition . This applies to the packaging as well. The purchaser is responsible for the cost of returning the goods.
Claims for damage caused in transit, or incorrect deliveries must be notified to Preservation Equipment Ltd., in writing, within 3 days of receipt of the delivery.
Every care is taken to maintain the highest standard of quality. Preservation Equipment Ltd wish to make it clearly understood that it is the users' responsibility to ensure that the goods purchased are suitable for the intended purpose. No guarantee is given or implied that any product we supply is fit for any particular purpose, and our liability is strictly limited to the invoice value of the items concerned.
We will allow credit to most archives, museums, libraries, colleges, universities and other public institutions. Private institutions and business firms may also open accounts with appropriate credit references, this is conditional upon a yearly spend of at least £500.00 per year.
Prices are subject to revision without notice and are exclusive of VAT. All price changes will be published on this website.
We export orders to all over the world, however currently due to software upgrade operations we are only able to accept online orders from Europe. If you live outside Europe, please email us (firstname.lastname@example.org)or alternatively use our online feedback form, detailing the product codes and quantities of the items required, together with the delivery address. We will then be pleased to contact you with a full quotation including delivery costs.
The prices shown on this website do not include VAT. All orders sent to countries members of the European Community, where a VAT number is not supplied by the customer will be charged with the maximum VAT rate. On the contrary, if a VAT number is supplied, the invoice will not carry a VAT charge unless it’s being dispatched by a depot within the same country. VAT is calculated automatically and shown on the "checkout" page. An invoice / delivery note will also be sent via email and will also accompany the order.
We operate as a distribution center which is not equipped with facilities to receive visitors. In certain cases, orders can be prepared and transferred to a designated depot for personal collection.
We reserve the right to change the product specification and characteristics. If the production of a specific product code is permanently cancelled by the manufacturer, we shall make every effort to substitute it with a product of similar quality and characteristics. If the alternate product details deviate considerably from the ones of the initially specified product, we shall contact you in an effort to find a suitable solution. If no suitable solution is found, we shall proceed in cancelling the order and return the funds to you.
As a large portion of the product codes offered come from external sources / manufacturers, tracking changes in product specification is a very difficult task. We usually rely on information communicated to us by the product manufacturer but in actuality that information is scarce and is supplied usually once a year with the announcement of the new product prices. As a consequence, it is almost impossible to keep our databases constantly updated with changes in product specs.
The cost of returning goods to us is not covered by the warranty. Since the majority of the products supplied come from various sources / manufacturers, each one of them carries the manufacturer’s warranty and we are unable to deviate from the policies dictated by each manufacturer.
